Superman can be killed by exposure to Kryptonite while red sunlight can turn him into a normal human.
One day, Superman goes up to Batman at Crime Alley and asks him if he can figure out where Metallo is. After the Titans deal with Metallo, Superman checks in on Superboy and assures him that his mother's okay before asking how life as a Titan is.
After experiencing a huge head ache, Superman went to the Watchtower to investigate and saw that there were two Earths there now. Superman then went with Batman, Flash, J'onn, and Wonder Woman to investigate the second Earth where they met the X-Men. He then pointed out the second Earth to the X-Men. He then introduced himself and the Justice League to them. He then questioned what a Mutant was. Superman then stated that they were reluctant to bring more players into the scenario of two Earths, but he did agree to have the X-Men, Storm, Cyclops, and Beast go with them. Superman then left for New Genesis to assist in an attack. Superman then learned that an enemy of the X-Men's, Apocalypse, had taken control of Superboy and Raven, along with two other X-Men, Xavier and Jean Grey. Superman then charged at Xavier, but he was pushed away by one of Xavier's mental blasts. Superman then tried to get through the Superboy. Superman then tried to remind Superboy of his past, from when he brought Superboy to Ma and Pa Kent to when they worked together in Metropolis. He then objected to when Hawkgirl smashed Superboy in the head with her mace, but he accepted Hawkgirl's approach as all other attempts had failed. Superman then had John try another restraining device as Superboy was claustrophobic. Superman then gives in and punches Superboy in the gut and face, but he doesn't do much good. Superman then calmed Rogue down when she already developed x-ray vision as she was a year older, physically, than Superboy. He then agreed to wait out Darkseid's attack on Earth and agreed to go to the Mansion to do so.
Knowing the TeamEdit
Superman was then taken on a tour of the Mansion by Xavier. After this, he offered all the heroes a chance to back out of the coming fight that nobody took. He then voiced his plan to ensure peace between the two Earth governments by having Flash and Nightcrawler take them to the Watchtower to talk.Afterwards, Superman explains the situation to representatives for both Earths. After the peace talks were successful, and the representatives were taken home, Superman prepared to figure out what Darkseid was up to. When Darkseid arrived soon afterwards, Superman began fighting him before he was held back by Superboy, Wonder Woman, and J'onn. When Darkseid asked for help, Superman asked why they should, which Darkseid responded with the fact that Brainiac's attack Apokolips with Apocalypse switching to Brainiac's side. Superman was skeptical that it was Brainiac as he believed he'd destroyed him. Superman then said that they'd just stop Brainiac when he moved to New Genesis and said he would let Apokolips be destroyed.
After Darkseid left, Superman continued to be against going to Apokolips until Batman pointed out that if this isn't one of Darkseid's schemes, they would have to take action. He still refused, claiming there weren't any innocents on Apokolips, but after a talk with J'onn, Superman agrees and takes Superboy, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Rogue with him to Apokolips while he has Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Starfire, Wolverine, Jean, and Liger go to New Genesis to ask help from Orion. At Apokolips, Superman's team sees Brainiac and Apocalypse attacking Darkseid's forces, but Superman's still skeptical about trusting him and tells the others to stay sharp while they fly off to face Brainiac. Superman then teams up with Superboy to get through Brainiac's shield. Once they get Brainiac's attention, Superman and Brainiac begin to fight. He eventually manages to destroy Brainiac when several copies of Brainiac appear. With Superboy and Raven's help, Superman limits the copies to one, punches it in the cut, and destroys its hand. After Brainiac retreats following an attack by Darkseid, Superman deals with Brainiac's remaining drones before going after Brainiac's ship. Superman then observed that Brainiac's ship was right below them, inside an asteroid they were on, which sucked them in through a tractor beam and was revealed to be Brainiac's main base.
Superman then advised waiting for Brainiac to make a move as they were pulled in. He then explained to Rogue that several images they saw were worlds Brainiac had been to and destroyed. Superman then agreed with Cyclops to spring an obvious trap by Brainiac. When Brainiac offered Superman a chance to join him, Superman remarked that Brainiac had to be joking. Superman then weakens slightly when he's shown images of his parents, but he stays firm and calls Brainiac a perversion that is disgracing the memory of his father and his people and claims that the legacy of Krypton resides with Superboy now. When Brainiac offers Superman the complete knowledge of Krypton for himself and Superboy, Superman retaliates by telling Brainiac to go to Hell. When a fight breaks out, Superman is grabbed and electrocuted by Brainiac until Superboy breaks the arm and pounds Brainiac into the ground, which Superman doesn't complain about. Superman then joins in the fight with several Brainiac copies led by Apocalypse, and Superman mainly uses his heat vision and super-strength to fight them. Superman then convinces Superboy not to kill Mr. Sinister when Superboy prepares to. When Darkseid arrives and assists Brainiac and Apocalypse, Superman is distracted long enough to be knocked out by Brainiac. A sample of his blood is then taken by Mr. Sinister. Superman is then taken to Brainiac's core, which is truly Brainiac as his bodies are simply drones to gather data. Superman's then put into a restraining device, so Brainiac can drain DNA from him to become a true life-form. When Darkseid and Apocalypse reveal that they had just used Brainiac, Superman asked why they were doing this, and Darkseid explained that he and Apocalypse were strengthening Brainiac to destroy the entire universe. When Superman asked why, he learned that after that, they were going to recreate it in their own images. Superman is then forced to watch in horror as Darkseid, Apocalypse, and Brainiac drones attack his friends and allies. He's then freed by Batman when he smashes the control consoles. Superman then waits for the others to leave before he goes after Darkseid. He meets him inside one of the passage ways after Orion is beaten down, and Superman declares that he'll make sure Darkseid goes with Brainiac when he blows up from the damage Batman did. This proves to be fairly even as Superman and Darkseid trade blows. He's then saved from Darkseid when Superboy arrives. Superman's then stopped when Batman tries to talk him into escaping with them, but Superman just shouts for them both to leave. Superman's then forcibly taken into a Boom Tube by Batman and Superboy as Darkseid's trapped under rubble when Brainiac explodes, apparently taking Darkseid with him. Superman then claims that Batman isn't always right when he says that, and he shouts at Superboy for not leaving when he was told to. He's then talked to by Jim and realizes that he was being unfair and apologizes for shouting at Superboy and asks for forgiveness, which he accepts. He then offers Cyclops the Justice League's help if the X-Men ever need it again.
Superman later assists Superboy, Hawkgirl, and Liger in fighting Lex Luthor. When Luthor causes a ship to begin to sink, Superman lets him go in favor of helping save the people. Superman then advised Liger to watch his back as he feared an attack from the hiding foe, Zod. Superman then went to the Mansion and asked Xavier to use Cerebro to look for Luthor, stating that Luthor must be stopped and explaining that why Luthor hated him was a long story. When the Professor seemed in pain from what happened, Superman asks what happens and witnesses him pass out. Superman then tried to calm Scott down in the Watchtower as Cyclops blamed Luthor. Superman then brushed aside a remark about the incident with Darkseid as he knew Cyclops was worried about the Professor. He then asked J'onn if he was sure about using Cerebro, which J'onn assured him he was. Superman then came to the Titans and the younger X-Men's aid with the League and the other X-Men when they were attacked by an android named Amazo. He then ended up scanned by Amazo, which was when he cued Batman to bring out the Kryptonite he had. This then forced Amazo away for the time being. In the Watchtower, Superman watches the fight and wonders where he comes from, which leads them to believing that he came from Metropolis, more specifically, LexCorp. Superman then stopped a "parent/teacher conference" between Wolverine and Wonder Woman in favor of focusing on Amazo. Superman then believed that they had to fight Amazo together. Superman's then caught in a tornado made by Amazo's super speed. When Amazo realized that Luthor used him and flew off, Superman insisted on stopping him. When Superboy confronted Amazo, Superman arrived and explained that it would be too easy to kill Luthor, and if he gave into his desire to kill him, he would be no better than Luhtor. This didn't work, and Amazo flew off. Superman then arrived with the other heroes in time to see Amazo spare Luthor and fly off. When Luthor claimed that Amazo wasn't a god, Superman picked him up and pointed out that Luthor would be doing a lot of praying if he ever came back.
Proteges and the Return of Captain AmericaEdit
Shortly after the fight with Amazo, Superman met with Xavier at the Institute. There, Superman explained how he knew Zod has something planned for Superboy due to studying him in the Fortress. Superman then suggested his plan to send the Younger X-Men to Earth-1 to back up the Titans. He later agreed to Xavier's idea to simply prepare for the fight with Zod. Superman then learned from the news that Mayor Robert Kelly was captured by an Earth-2 villain called the Red Skull. Superman was then told by Wolverine and Xavier that the only person to be able to stop Skull was Captain America, the champion of champions on Earth-2. Superman then meets Nick Fury and his team of heroes, the Avengers, including Iron Man, Mercy Graves, and Black Widow. When Captain America was revived with a dose of Wolverine's DNA, Superman introduced himself to Captain America and explained how their two earths were fused together. When Fury suggested that the younger X-Men go to Earth-1 with the Titans to defend against Zod, Superman agreed with Batman to put the matter to a vote. Superman voted for the younger heroes to go to Earth-1. When his side of the vote won, Superman wished Superboy, the Titans, and the younger X-Men good luck. Once the Justice League, the Avengers, and the X-Men arrived at Red Skull's castle, Superman co-led the heroes with Captain America. Superman also called the charge when they were attacked by several robots dressed as Nazis. When Red Skull shot Kelly, Superman flew over to Kelly and told Jean to clot Kelly's bullet wound. Kelly then tried to push Superman off of him, but he was too weak. After the heroes saved Kelly and imprisoned Red Skull, Superman and the other heroes went to the Tower where the Titans and the younger X-Men had just defeated Zod, Slade, and Magneto. When Superboy apologized for his mistakes, Superman rebuffed the apology, stating that Superboy had won where it had counted, and Zod was now out of the picture. He also agreed that Captain America was right, and there was no such thing as Jr. Heroes.
Only a DreamEdit
In John Dee's dream, the last hero he defeats is Superman by squeezing him to death. In real life, Superman goes to Stryker's Island to stop a mass break out which involves several supervillains. Superman went with Superboy, Rogue, Hawkgirl, Raven, and Rogue to catch Luminous. When he approached Luminous after he caught Hawkgirl in a solid-light hologram, he rushed off, releasing Hawkgirl. Later, while Superboy and Hawkgirl were fighting various solid-light copies of Luminous, Superman uses his x-ray vision to find the real one due to him being the only one with a heat signature. Superman then shifted to fighting Grundy with J'onn, Wonder Woman, and Superboy. At the beginning, Superman stopped Grundy from smashing a police car before getting smashed by an armored car. After recovering Superman came up with the idea of knocking Grundy in the air which knocked him out. After that, all other villains were defeated, so Superman advised calling it a night. That night, Clark went back home and went to bed.
In the nightmare Dr. Destiny trapped Clark in, he was having dinner with Lois and discussing how anti-Mutant sentiment was spreading to Earth-1 when Clark's heat vision grew out of control, and he ended up accidentally killing Lois. After awhile, Superman becomes incredibly bulky and harms anything he touches. He also accidentally kills Jimmy. When Superman flies to the Kent Farm and hides in the shaft his ship was kept, J'onn and Wonder Woman arrive to help Superman out, but he states that since he started out without any power at all, he fears that it might keep growing until he can't control it, and J'onn assures Clark that they'll all be there to help him if that happens, and Superman returns to normal. When J'onn tried to get through to John, Superman worked with Wonder Woman to fend Dr. Destiny off until Green Lantern could force him out. When Superman goes with John, J'onn, and Wonder Woman to talk to Flash, he falls victim to Flash's nightmare and freezes in time until Flash is encouraged by J'onn to slow his heart right down himself, and everyone returns to normal. When Dr. Destiny tries to stop the fully united heroes before they can access Hawkgirl's mind, Superman lands a blow to Dr. Destiny's stomach. Once Batman deals with John Dee, everyone wakes up. Inspired by the beginning of his dream, Superman goes to Lois' apartment and reveals his identity as Superman to her. The two then kiss.
Father and SonEdit
Superman later requested the Titans help on a mission which they eagerly agreed to. They then went to Star Labs where Hamilton had designed a shuttle to take them to a planet. Once the auto-pilot was activated, Superman encouraged the Titans to relax. Superman then silently encouraged Superboy to have something to eat before a pie Starfire found. Once they got close to their destination, Superman explained that they were going on a diplomatic mission and told by the king of the planet that a monster was attacking, and Superman assured him that they'd stop it. Superman then agreed to Superboy's plan to distract the beast until Beast Boy pulled out a large thorn from the foot. After informing the king, they return home, and Superman thanks the Titans for their help as he flies off.
The child version of Superman. He uses his heat vision to help dig out the diamonds.
He has less control of his super-breath than his adult self as a single sneeze can randomly toss people into a wall. Superboy later confirmed that someone was still in the house thanks to his x-ray vision but was unable to tell what it was. Upon entering the house, he found no dishes in the sink like usual and believed that someone had stolen the dishes until Wonder Girl pointed out that they were in the cupboard. Superboy's current hay fever was later aggravated by Cyborg, and he let out a mighty sneeze that blew everyone back. When he was about to do it again, they tied his cape around his nose until his sneezing fit had passed. Superboy later welcomed Starfire when she was discovered and agreed that she could stay.
Superboy washed up with the others and after forcing Batboy to wash, he joked that Batboy smelled like a petunia and ran in when Wonder Girl announced that supper was ready.
During a song and dance with Starfire, Superboy allowed Beast Boy to stand on top of him while they both danced with Starfire but ended up sneezing Beast Boy into the ceiling. He then listened to Starfire tell them about Robin. After letting Starfire sleep in their rooms, Superboy slept on Beast Boy, who had turned himself into a dog, and woke Superboy up with his whimpering, so Superboy just poked him gently, and they both slept comfortably.
After a few days, Superboy got over his hay fever and regained control of his super breath. When he left to get more diamonds out of the mine, he warned Starfire to watch out. When he arrived at the mine, they were attacked by animals, and Superboy blew some birds and squirrels away with a super breath, but they came back soon afterwords. After learning that Blackfire may have Starfire, Superboy realized that she would kill her. Superboy then flew off to save Starfire.
When Superboy arrived at the house, he saw Blackfire leave and used his x-ray vision to see Starfire on the ground without moving and assumed she was dead. He then followed her, and when Blackfire tried to throw a boulder at them, Superboy smashed it to pieces. He then hid from Blackfire's star bolts. After that, he went with John, Wonder Girl, and Raven to attack Blackfire from behind. After getting into position, Superboy tapped Blackfire on the shoulder and punched her in the face. She then cried, and Superboy was about to apologize when she was about to attack before she was bound up by Batboy. After taking her to Etrigan, where she was sent to a limbo, Superboy was the one who said they should go to the house and pay their respects to Starfire, which they did.
After setting up the table for Starfire to rest on, Superboy mourned her, and he tried to comfort Raven while he did it. When Starfire was awoken by Robin, he readily agreed to go with them to Jump City.
The owner of a wood-shop/farm. He and his wife Lois are unable to have children, so Clark made one out of wood. He then figured on naming him Conner. After playing around with him for a little bit with Lois, he went to bed and wished that Conner was a real boy, and when he saw the wishing star, he made the wish that Conner was a real boy and fell asleep.
He was awakened by a loud noise and believed he and his wife were dreaming until he had Lois pinch him. He then welcomed Raven to the house, and they celebrated until Conner got curious about fire, and Clark had to put out Conner's finger. Clark then figured they should go to bed and helped him change into pajamas in the bathroom and promised to build a bed for him and Raven the next day. He then explained about going to sleep to Conner before going to sleep, only waking up once when Conner said that he loved both him and Lois. They then stated that they loved Conner too and made sure that Conner and Raven were comfortable.
The next day, Clark gave Conner an apple to give to his teacher. Clark then stopped Krypto from going to school with Conner as school wasn't for dogs. He then waved good-bye to Clark and said he'd see him that night.
Clark wondered where Conner could be after it got extremely dark and rainy out. He then went to look for him and Raven again with Lois.
Clark and Lois searched all over and failed. Clark then tried to comfort Lois, which was made hard as he was afraid of his son lost, alone, and miserable somewhere out in the world.
Eventually, they took Krypto and went looking for him on a boat that was swallowed by a monster whale named Monstro.
After several hours they feared they would starve to death as they could only eat by catching fish Monstro consumed, but he then sucked in a whole mess of tuna which cheered them up, and they cheered up even more when Conner and Raven appeared. He then commented that he was glad Conner came down to save him. He then asked what happened to Conner after seeing that he had donkey ears and a tail. Clark then agreed with Lois that it didn't matter. Clark then explained that he and Lois had tried to get out and even built a raft, but nothing worked. When Conner got the idea to make Monstro sneeze them out, Clark easily got what Conner was doing and had Conner use a wooden chair as extra firewood. They then escaped once Monstro sneezed. After that, the raft was destroyed by a charging Monstro, and Clark told Conner to save himself, but Conner refused and pulled him into a cave that led to shore, and Clark muttered as he was still unconscious for Conner to save himself.
Clark later mourned Conner with his wife until he was revived and made a real boy. He then celebrated with everyone. He later gained a daughter-in-law in Raven and a granddaughter in Kara.
Now a grandfather, Clark tells his granddaughter Kara about his side of Conner's story. Several years ago, in the town of Smallville, Clark finished his new toys for the season. He then gave the daughter of his friend Arella, Raven, a unicorn. He then let everyone into the shop. When a girl named Kom began whining about how her mother wouldn't let her have a covered toy that wasn't for sale, Clark cheered her up by giving her a bag of candy. Clark then wondered with Lois why the people who shouldn't have child got to be the ones who got children.
Clark later said good-bye to the customers as they left. He then showed Raven what the covered toy was. A marionette puppet boy he'd made called Conner. He then painted a mouth onto him and showed him to Raven and Arella. He then agreed with Lois' wish that Conner was a real boy and he was his father. He then played a music box for Raven to go to sleep to as she slept on the couch. As he and Lois prepared to sleep, he wished on the wishing star for his heart to be full. He was awoken to a loud noise and went down to see an angel bring Conner to life. She then wished them a full heart as she disappeared. Clark then welcomed Conner into the conscious world and when they went back to bed, Clark promised to give Conner his old room in the house tomorrow. He also promised that Conner could play with the unsold toys tomorrow. When Conner said he loved them, Clark remarked that he loved Conner too.
The next day, Clark introduced Conner to his and Lois' friends, Bruce, Diana, and Terry Wayne. Clark then pulled Conner out of a bundle of clothes he was lying on and explained that he shouldn't do that as they're likely meant for other people. He then took Conner to meet some other kids his age. Clark then brushed off Conner stepping in wet cement as leaving quite an impression. Clark later showed Conner how to ride a tricycle he made for him. Clark then helped Conner ride it. Also, when he accidentally rammed into a dead-end street. Luckily, Conner wasn't hurt, and the tricycle was easily repairable. The day after that, Clark told Conner that it was time he began to learn how to be a toy-maker. When Conner said he'd rather draw and design things, Clark commented that he'd make a good toy-maker due to coming from a long line of toy makers. Clark then agreed with Lois' compromised and taught Conner how to make a wing. Clark then said that Conner's wing was good, but told him that next time he could go deeper with the wing. He also said that Conner did a good job on a drawing of Krypto, as Superdog, he'd completed. Clark then stated that Conner was starting school tomorrow. He also smirked at Conner's small joke with Lois.
Clark was still willing to accept that Conner was just being a boy when Lois wondered why Conner wouldn't behave. Clark advised Conner to just do what the other kids do at school, and he'd be fine. Clark then rested until Tim and Kory arrived and said that Conner was in trouble. After a slight delay by running into a puppeteer named Lex Luthor. Clark then saw Conner fighting one of the other boys and helped Miss Bertinelli pull them apart. When he learned that Conner had taken his advice on doing what the other boys did as imitating them, and that he was to go home, Clark's patience was finally beginning to wane. After having to go through Luthor again, which was made harder by his awe of a living puppet, Clark took Conner home and had him sit down in a chair until supper time to think about what he'd done. When Conner began to cry, Clark offered him a small bag of candy, but Conner just shouted that he didn't want it, so Clark had him go to his room. When they heard a loud crash and Conner standing over a broken music box, he made up a story about the wind knocking the box over, and his nose grew. Clark then asked what really happened, and Conner explained that he'd kicked the shelf in anger and accidentally caused the music box to fall off. Clark then told Conner to stay on the bed and stay there until he said so or supper. He then went looking for Shayera, claiming Conner was a big disappointment. When he finally found her, he explained how he believed his and Lois' wish was defective as Conner didn't know anything, he didn't follow the rules, and he didn't want to be a toymaker. Shayera simply said that people had to earn their happily ever afters and left, claiming that if Clark or Lois ever needed her, they just needed to call her with their hearts.
Clark then decided he'd just calmly talk to Conner, but when he and Lois, who'd gone getting supper supplies, went inside, they found a note that said Conner had gone to live with Luthor. Clark believed it was just a joke until he couldn't find him anywhere and wondered if it was for the best. He then went with Lois, Krypto, and Arella, who was looking for Raven who'd left to try and bring Conner back, to give him his teddy bear, which he'd left behind, and to say good-bye. When Clark saw Conner's performance before going to talk to him, he thought Conner's stage name, Superboy, was catchy. Clark then heard from Luthor that Conner had left to try his luck in Metropolis after the show and held Conner back. He then went towards the forest to look for him.
While searching for Conner, Clark and Lois run into Shayera again. Clark then says that this is about Conner and that this wouldn't have happened if Conner had shown interest in being a toy-maker. Later, they meet a man tied up and realease him. They then, out of manners, watched some of John Stewart's magic tricks. These resulted in a nearby bush and the bench catching fire. The last trick involved a very well made rabbit toy and a bow and arrow, but they stopped him. Clark then learned that the only reason John was a magician was because his father was. Clark then learned that John would have preferred to be a toy-maker but said his dad would be disappointed in him if he did that. Clark then admittedly learned that Conner doesn't have to be a toy-maker, and boys should be able to pursue what they want to be.
When Clark arrived at Idealia with Lois and Krypto, he thought the children acted kind of weird. When Clark asked about if anyone saw Conner, they were reffered to a Professor Hamilton. They were then taken there by a couple named Scott and Barda. Clark then met the professor's twelve-year-old son, who introduced them to Hamilton. When Clark explained that Conner had run away, everyone was confused until he explained that Conner was made of wood and brought to life by an angel. He was then shocked when Hamilton explained that he made perfect children per the parents' request. Clark admitted to himself that he wouldn't mind asking this guy to fix Conner, but his time with John had taught him that he'd rather have a child he could learn from as well as learn from him. He also thought how the children that came out of the machine already five to eight-year-olds was just wrong on various levels. He and Lois then turned down two boys and three girls before running out of the town as fast as they could to look for Conner, much wiser than when they entered.
Clark then ran into Shayera again with Lois, and they both sighed agitatedly. Clark then kept going as he wanted to find Conner, but Shayera explained that Luthor had lied, and he and Lois raced towards Pleasure Island. Clark, Lois, and Krypto then snuck there and saw Conner as he pushed Raven down. Clark then picked Raven up and assured her that they were taking them both home. While looking for Conner again, they heard a boy cry out for help, so they secretly entered a secret room. They then looked around and saw several donkeys there. Inside, they learned that the roller coaster turned the boys into donkeys, so they rushed out to find Conner. Clark and Lois then rushed to the coaster and pleaded for Conner not to get on it. Conner refused and went on. Clark and Lois then rushed after him on the next car with Krypto and Raven. Clark and Lois arrived, and they saw that Conner had turned into a still talking donkey, and he was immediately loaded into a boat.
Clark then rowed after them, when he, Lois, Raven, and Krypto ended up swallowed by a giant whale. Clark then asked for help from Shayera when Conner appeared, returned to normal by his brave deed. Clark then picked Conner up and blamed himself for everything that had happened. Clark then explained that he and Lois had tried to safe him because he was their son. Clark then apologized for what happened, claiming he and Lois weren't as good parents as they thought they'd be and promised that if he and Lois could do this all over again, they'd get it right this time. Conner then forgave them, and they all hugged. Clark then got an idea to get out by taking Conner and holding him onto his shoulder to try and tickle the back of his throat to get him to cough them out. Clark then agreed with Conner's plan to ask him questions to get his nose to grow. He then asked Conner's name, and if he liked the nickname, Woody McWoodhead. Clark then recognized a tender moment between Conner and Raven when he said that he didn't find Raven pretty, which was another lie. They eventually made it out and returned to the main land. On the way home, Clark and Lois related their adventures to Conner.
Clark then explains to Conner that he can be whoever he wants, and he agreed with Conner's idea to be a toy-designer, so they could still call the shop Clark, Lois, and Son. Clark then shared the credit for getting out of the whale with Conner, Lois, Krypto, and Raven. Clark then agreed that he wouldn't want to go through getting swallowed by a whale again. Clark then called Conner the best son a father could ever want. He then tells Conner that it's not what he's made of on the outside, it's what's inside that counts. He then raced Conner home. Clark then talked about showing Conner the path he and Lois took during the early part of their adventures tomorrow. When they entered the shop, Clark asks what Luthor is doing there and learns that when Conner left with Luthor, he had signed a contract. Clark then refuses to hand Conner over. Clark then asks if there's anything else they can offer Luthor. He even offers him everything. He offers Luthor his favorite chair and their house. When Luthor refused and ran off with Conner, Clark called out to Shayera for help and learned that because he and Lois seldom listened to her, there was little she could do. Clark then asks Shayera to turn him into wood or stone or clay since she had allowed Luthor to take their hearts away. Clark then marvels at Shayera turning Conner into a real boy as she states that Clark and Lois have proven themselves to be real parents. The reunited family then goes back inside to rest.
After three years of knowing Lois, Superman takes Lois for a flight, and they end up falling in love. He then lets Lois know that he's Clark Kent and they begin dating. When Darkseid arrives, Superman dies saving the Earth from him.
The leader of the Justice League. Two years ago, he revealed to Lois his identity of Clark Kent and married her. Soon afterwords, they had a son who was named Conner. Before going off, Superman looked at Lois and Conner and promised to watch over them. He then flew off.
Superman later flew around Metropolis after a storm to see if there was anyone in need of help, flying through a window as he did it.
During Conner's first day at Metro Park, when he was five, Superman was over looking a sparing session between the Justice League members. He also smiled slightly at Superboy when he saw him. Suddenly, Superman's super hearing caught the distinct sound of a Boom Tube and alerted everyone in the park that Darkseid was attacking. He then had the League go face him as he took a few seconds to get Lois and Superboy out of the park before joining the fight.
A further three years later, Superman found Lois to have been killed by Darkseid and took Superboy in as they were all the family they had left.
Several years later, when Superboy had grown up and become Superman X, Superman explained to Conner that Darkseid had returned. He then advised that they move the civilians to a safe point in the forest. After that, Superman flew to an injured Conner and encouraged him to stand up. Superman X did so, and they both flew to Darkseid, and Superman witnessed Superman X shove Darkseid's Omega Beam back at him. Superman survived with Superman X and arrived at the rendezvous point where everyone else was.
A year later, after Conner's children, Kyle and Kara, were born, Superman took patrol to give Conner time with his new children.
After Lois was killed, Superman looked at the ashes that were once her. He then went to Superboy and explained that Lois was gone. He then took him to his apartment in Metropolis to stay there for the night. When Batman arrived to offer his condolences, Superman asked Batman to find Lana Lang to raise Superboy as she was the only other woman he could trust to raise him. He was also reluctant to raise Superboy himself as he would then be obligated to take him all over the world and didn't believe that would be a proper way to raise Conner. He then agreed to look after Conner until spring, which would make it easier for Batman to look for Lana. Superman then changed back into Clark and went to sleep. Clark woke up the next morning and let Conner sleep in since he'd just lost his mother.
When Superboy finally awoke, Superman explained that they had to awake before the city did and explained that if Superboy slept late again, he'd have to leave him behind. Superman then gave Superboy a granolia bar for a quick breakfast and patrolled Metropolis. He then explained to Superboy that heroes shouldn't "whoo-hoo" as they had to maintain control and show strength and dignity. During the patrol, Superman simply floated over obstacles Superboy tripped or skipped through. While observing Metro Park, Superman explained to Superboy that they had to look from a distance to spot danger easier and when Superboy began talking about Lois, Superman requested that Superboy leave the past in the past as a hero couldn't look back, only forward. When Superboy ended up talking to his friend Kid Flash, Superman called for Superboy again, but when he saw Superboy struggling up the steep climb, Superman figured that he might benefit from relaxation and had Superboy go with his friends to see Green Lantern while he checked on Smallville.
When Superman arrived at the Tower and couldn't find Superboy, he heard the sound of Parademons and rushed off to find Superboy frozen with fear at Metro Park as the Parademons advanced on him. Superman called for Superboy to run, and when he didn't, Superboy fought off the Parademons when he saw the glow of Darkseid's eyes and shoved Superboy forward. Once they were safe, Superman explained angrily that the voice of Lois that Superboy had heard was one of Darkseid's tricks. Superman, out of fear for Conner's safety, ordered Superboy to run when he said run and to never freeze up like he did back there. Superman then calmed down and guided Superboy home. Superman then admitted to Superboy that Lois wasn't coming back. As Superboy slept, Superman flew to Batman and asked for him to start looking for Lana.
A few days later, as Superman prepared to go on patrol, Superman ordered Superboy to stay near the apartment where it was safe. After his patrol, Superman saw Superboy with Kid Flash on the other end of a long jump, but before he could repromand Superboy, he became impressed with how Superboy made the jump when Superman hadn't been able to do that until he was twice Superboy's age. He then had Superboy come home with him.
Superman then gave Superboy permission to leave the den as long as he promised never to go into Metro Park without him. After patrolling Smallville, Superman smiled at Superboy's eagerness. Superman then learned from Batman that he had several leads to where Lana was and he assured Batman that he hadn't changed his mind. After smiling at Superboy for a quick second, he flew up into the sky. When Superboy asked what he was doing, Superman explained he was observing and went on to say that observing involved looking, and feeling all at the same time for dangers. Superman then coached Superboy as he tried it by observing that children were playing with their parents in Metro Park. Superman then explained that while he'd be afraid if he went to face danger, he couldn't let fear stop him from acting. He then took Superboy on a second patrol of the city. During patrol, as Superboy tried to get up the long, steep hillside, Superman gave him some support. In the Metro Tower gym, Superman did a small sparring match with Superboy. He also observed Superboy's kindness and desire to help anyone in trouble when he saved a lady bug trapped in a spider's web. After mastering observing, Superboy asked Superman when he'd be able to fly, and Superman assurd him that it would be any day now if he was anything like him. The two then had a friendly race in Metro Park. While relaxing in Smallville, Clark joined Conner in pouncing on several grasshoppers. Superman then gave Superboy a ride on the way back to Metropolis after some more fun. After spending some time getting Conner to sleep, Clark dreamed of the day if Lois had been alive and involved.
A few days later, Superman made the mistake of letting Conner eat cookies before bed and barely slept, but he did compliment Conner and telling when a beehive was close to him, and Superman then got into a play fight with Superboy when Batman arrived. Superman then admitted that he had wanted to see Batman and ended up butted in the stomach by Superboy. When Lana arrived, Superman tried to tell Superboy to wait at the apartment. Unfortunately, Superboy found out that Lana was there to take him to Smallville to raise him instead of Superboy, and when Superman tried to explain, he ended up in an argument with Superboy that ended with Superboy running off. Superman then admitted that this was his fault as he hadn't told Batman to stop after becoming more fatherly as well as still believing he isn't cut out to raise Conner, flying off solemnly. That evening, Superman took Conner to Lana, and Superman promised to come visit Conner soon and told Conner to never forget that he was a hero. Superman then hugged Conner good-bye and walked off. Soon afterwords, Superman heard a boom and went to find Lana in an energy cage that he saved her from and then learned that Superboy had distracted a heard of Parademons from attacking Lana, so he flew in the direction of the Parademons' noises. Superman then saw Superboy outwit the Parademons and landed on the ledge of a mountain Superboy was on. Superman then saw as Superboy jumped over to him and ended up falling when the ledge crumbled. Superman saw Conner's lifeless body on the ground and tried to order him to wake up, but broke down when he accepted that his only son was gone. When Superman heard Superboy groan, Superman comforted Superboy and took him home.
A few days later, Superman took Superboy to the top of the Smallville water tower where the sun shown, and they could see Metropolis. Superman then explained that this was where he met Lois and explained that he was about Conner's age, commenting that he was a lot like Conner.
The king of the land. He's the calm and collective one as he calmed Lois down when she shouted at Wally about their son Conner getting married. Clark also comforted Lois when she cried about Conner drifting away from them as he grew. Clark also groaned when Wally suggested leaving Conner alone. Clark agreed with Lois' idea of arranging conditions for Conner to find a future wife as she stated that it worked for them. Clark also instantly picked up on Lois' plan to have a ball to celebrate Conner's return with every eligable maiden in the kingdom attending.
During the ball, Clark noted how picky Conner was, saying that at least one of the women he met so far would make a suitable mother and wife. When Kitty and Blackfire arrived, Clark sighed with resignation. Just then, a girl in a white gown and cloak arrived, and Clark pointed it out to Wally happily. Clark then asked if Wally knew the girl, which he didn't. After stopping Lois from falling off the balcony calling for the waltz, he called for the lights to be dimmed and went to bed with Lois.
