Clark Kent (Brainiac Attacks)

Clark talks to Lois.

Clark Kent - Now a grandfather, Clark tells his granddaughter Kara about his side of Conner's story. Several years ago, in the town of Smallville, Clark finished his new toys for the season. He then gave the daughter of his friend Arella, Raven, a unicorn. He then let everyone into the shop. When a girl named Kom began whining about how her mother wouldn't let her have a covered toy that wasn't for sale, Clark cheered her up by giving her a bag of candy. Clark then wondered with Lois why the people who shouldn't have child got to be the ones who got children. Clark later said good-bye to the customers as they left. He then showed Raven what the covered toy was. A marionette puppet boy he'd made called Conner. He then painted a mouth onto him and showed him to Raven and Arella. He then agreed with Lois' wish that Conner was a real boy and he was his father. He then played a music box for Raven to go to sleep to as she slept on the couch. As he and Lois prepared to sleep, he wished on the wishing star for his heart to be full. He was awoken to a loud noise and went down to see an angel bring Conner to life. She then wished them a full heart as she disappeared. Clark then welcomed Conner into the conscious world and when they went back to bed, Clark promised to give Conner his old room in the house tomorrow. He also promised that Conner could play with the unsold toys tomorrow. When Conner said he loved them, Clark remarked that he loved Conner too. The next day, Clark introduced Conner to his and Lois' friends, Bruce, Diana, and Terry Wayne. Clark then pulled Conner out of a bundle of clothes he was lying on and explained that he shouldn't do that as they're likely meant for other people. He then took Conner to meet some other kids his age. Clark then brushed off Conner stepping in wet cement as leaving quite an impression. Clark later showed Conner how to ride a tricycle he made for him. Clark then helped Conner ride it. Also, when he accidentally rammed into a dead-end street. Luckily, Conner wasn't hurt, and the tricycle was easily repairable. The day after that, Clark told Conner that it was time he began to learn how to be a toy-maker. When Conner said he'd rather draw and design things, Clark commented that he'd make a good toy-maker due to coming from a long line of toy makers. Clark then agreed with Lois' compromised and taught Conner how to make a wing. Clark then said that Conner's wing was good, but told him that next time he could go deeper with the wing. He also said that Conner did a good job on a drawing of Krypto, as Superdog, he'd completed. Clark then stated that Conner was starting school tomorrow. He also smirked at Conner's small joke with Lois. Clark was still willing to accept that Conner was just being a boy when Lois wondered why Conner wouldn't behave. Clark advised Conner to just do what the other kids do at school, and he'd be fine. Clark then rested until Tim and Kory arrived and said that Conner was in trouble. After a slight delay by running into a puppeteer named Lex Luthor. Clark then saw Conner fighting one of the other boys and helped Miss Bertinelli pull them apart. When he learned that Conner had taken his advice on doing what the other boys did as immitating them, and that he was to go home, Clark's patience was finally beginning to wane. After having to go through Luthor again, which was made harder by his awe of a living puppet, Clark took Conner home and had him sit down in a chair until supper time to think about what he'd done. When Conner began to cry, Clark offered him a small bag of candy, but Conner just shouted that he didn't want it, so Clark had him go to his room. When they heard a loud crash and Conner standing over a broken music box, he made up a story about the wind knocking the box over, and his nose grew. Clark then asked what really happened, and Conner explained that he'd kicked the shelf in anger and accidentally caused the music box to fall off. Clark then told Conner to stay on the bed and stay there until he said so or supper. He then went looking for Shayera, claiming Conner was a big disapointment. When he finally found her, he explained how he believed his and Lois' wish was defective as Conner didn't know anything, he didn't follow the rules, and he didn't want to be a toymaker. Shayera simply said that people had to earn their happily ever afters and left, claiming that if Clark or Lois ever needed her, they just needed to call her with their hearts. Clark then decided he'd just calmly talk to Conner, but when he and Lois, who'd gone getting supper suplies, went inside, they found a note that said Conner had gone to live with Luthor. Clark believed it was just a joke until he couldn't find him anywhere and wondered if it was for the best. He then went with Lois, Krypto, and Arella, who was looking for Raven who'd left to try and bring Conner back, to give him his teddy bear, which he'd left behind, and to say good-bye. When Clark saw Conner's performance before going to talk to him, he thought Conner's stage name, Superboy, was catchy. Clark then heard from Luthor that Conner had left to try his luck in Metropolis after the show and held Conner back. He then went towards the forest to look for him. While searching for Conner, Clark and Lois run into Shayera again. Clark then says that this is about Conner and that this wouldn't have happened if Conner had shown interest in being a toy-maker. Later, they meet a man tied up and realease him. They then, out of manners, watched some of John Stewart's magic tricks. These resulted in a nearby bush and the bench catching fire. The last trick involved a very well made rabbit toy and a bow and arrow, but they stopped him. Clark then learned that the only reason John was a magician was because his father was. Clark then learned that John would have preferred to be a toy-maker but said his dad would be disapointed in him if he did that. Clark then admittedly learned that Conner doesn't have to be a toy-maker, and boys should be able to pursue what they want to be. When Clark arrived at Idealia with Lois and Krypto, he thought the children acted kind of weird. When Clark asked about if anyone saw Conner, they were reffered to a Professor Hamilton. They were then taken there by a couple named Scott and Barda. Clark then met the professor's twelve-year-old son, who introduced them to Hamilton. When Clark explained that Conner had run away, everyone was confused until he explained that Conner was made of wood and brought to life by an angel. He was then shocked when Hamilton explained that he made perfect children per the parents' request. Clark admitted to himself that he wouldn't mind asking this guy to fix Conner, but his time with John had taught him that he'd rather have a child he could learn from as well as learn from him. He also thought how the children that came out of the machine already five to eight-year-olds was just wrong on various levels. He and Lois then turned down two boys and three girls before running out of the town as fast as they could to look for Conner, much wiser than when they entered. Clark then ran into Shayera again with Lois, and they both sighed agitatedly. Clark then kept going as he wanted to find Conner, but Shayera explained that Luthor had lied, and he and Lois raced towards Pleasure Island. Clark, Lois, and Krypto then snuck there and saw Conner as he pushed Raven down. Clark then picked Raven up and assurd her that they were taking them both home. While looking for Conner again, they heard a boy cry out for help, so they secretly entered a secret room. They then looked around and saw several donkies there. Inside, they learned that the rollar coaster turned the boys into donkies, so they rushed out to find Conner. Clark and Lois then rushed to the coaster and pleaded for Conner not to get on it. Conner refused and went on. Clark and Lois then rushed after him on the next car with Krypto and Raven. Clark and Lois arrived, and they saw that Conner had turned into a still talking donkey, and he was immediately loaded into a boat. Clark then rowed after them, when he, Lois, Raven, and Krypto ended up swallowed by a giant whale. Clark then asked for help from Shayera when Conner appeared, returned to normal by his brave deed. Clark then picked Conner up and blamed himself for everything that had happened. Clark then explained that he and Lois had tried to safe him because he was their son. Clark then apologized for what happened, claiming he and Lois weren't as good parents as they thought they'd be and promised that if he and Lois could do this all over again, they'd get it right this time. Conner then forgave them, and they all hugged. Clark then got an idea to get out by taking Conner and holding him onto his shoulder to try and tickle the back of his throat to get him to cough them out. Clark then agreed with Conner's plan to ask him questions to get his nose to grow. He then asked Conner's name, and if he liked the nickname, Woody McWoodhead. Clark then recognized a tender moment between Conner and Raven when he said that he didn't find Raven pretty, which was another lie. They eventually made it out and returned to the main land. On the way home, Clark and Lois related their adventures to Conner. Clark then explains to Conner that he can be whoever he wants, and he agreed with Conner's idea to be a toy-designer, so they could still call the shop Clark, Lois, and Son. Clark then shared the credit for getting out of the whale with Conner, Lois, Krypto, and Raven. Clark then agreed that he wouldn't want to go through getting swallowed by a whale again. Clark then called Conner the best son a father could ever want. He then tells Conner that it's not what he's made of on the outside, it's what's inside that counts. He then raced Conner home. Clark then talked about showing Conner the path he and Lois took during the early part of their adventures tomorrow. When they entered the shop, Clark asks what Luthor is doing there and learns that when Conner left with Luthor, he had signed a contract. Clark then refuses to hand Conner over. Clark then asks if there's anything else they can offer Luthor. He even offers him everything. He offers Luthor his favorite chair and their house. When Luthor refused and ran off with Conner, Clark called out to Shayera for help and learned that because he and Lois seldom listened to her, there was little she could do. Clark then asks Shayera to turn him into wood or stone or clay since she had allowed Luthor to take their hearts away. Clark then marvels at Shayera turning Conner into a real boy as she states that Clark and Lois have proven themselves to be real parents. The reunited family then goes back inside to rest.

Lois Lane (Brainiac Attacks)

Lois talks to Clark.

Lois Lane-Kent - Now a grandmother, Lois listened to Clark tell their granddaughter Kara about their side of Conner's story. Several years ago, in the town of Smallville, Lois announced that Clark had finished his new toys for the season. She then greeted the daughter of her friend Arella, Raven. She then let everyone into a shop. As she watched the children and her parents, Lois wondered with Clark about why it was the people who shouldn't have children who got to have children when she was infertile. After Clark showed Conner to Raven and Arella, Lois verbalized her wish that Conner was a real boy and that she was his mother. Lois then wished with Clark that their hearts would be full. She then woke up to sounds downstairs and witnessed the angel Shayera bring Conner to life. She was extremely exicted and hugged her new son. She then explained to Conner that everybody needed their own room as they prepared to sleep. Lois then promised that she would tell Conner a story to Conner and agreed that it would be how she and Clark met as long as he went to sleep. She then said that she loved Conner when he told Lois he loved her. The next day, Lois showed Conner to her and Clark's friend, Bruce, Diana, and Terry Wayne. She also had to explain to Conner not to lie down in piles of cloth that weren't his bed or step in wet cement. The next day, she was about to tell Conner to get back into the house and put his toys away. She let it go after seeing Conner on his new tricycle but hid her face after Conner accidentally crashed into a wall, especially with Mrs. Anders and Slade laughing. Then Lois convinced Conner to put his toys away after the third time telling him to. The following day, Lois yelled for the rooster to be quiet. When Clark wanted to teach Conner how to make toys, and Clark wanted to draw, Lois came up with a compromise where Clark would teach something to Conner, and he'd then be allowed to draw a picture. After making a wing, Conner showed Lois a picture of Krypto in a cape with an odd S on his collar. She then explained to Conner that people went to school to get smart. She then told Krypto not to lick Conner's face for fear of his painted on mouth being licked off before Conner pretended that happened and then laughed as Clark smirked. Before Conner's first day of school, Lois wanted to sleep in and wondered allowed why Conner wouldn't behave. She then managed to see Conner off before going to sleep. She was awoken when Tim and Kory arrived and explained that Conner was in trouble. Lois and Clark then went with them to the school, only stopped once by a puppeteer named Lex Luthor. Afterwords, Lois saw Conner fighting and managed to help Clark and Miss Bertinelli pull Clark away from the boy he was fighting with. She then learned that Conner had been imitating the other boys in an effort to understand what to do, to an extreme, and Conner was to go home. On the way home, they ran into Lex Luthor again and had to work harder to get rid of him as he was interested in Conner as he was a living puppet. Lois then told Conner about how embarrassed she was. After Conner was sent to his room, she didn't stop Conner but did feel that they might be being too hard on him with that considering he was only technically a few days old. After Clark left to talk to the angel about Conner, Lois told Conner she was heading out too to grab food for supper. When she returned at the same time as Clark, they went in to find only a note. After reading that Conner left to live with Luthor, Lois was fearful that it was true, and when there was no other possible alternative, Lois looked at the teddy bear she and Clark and given Conner, and she decided to go to Luthor to give it to him, so he could sleep. They then let Arella come with them since Raven left with Conner to try to talk him into coming home. After Lois saw Conner perform, she thought his stage name, Superboy, was corny. When Lois heard from Luthor that Conner had left for Metropolis along, she had to be held back by Clark and Arella, so she wouldn't kill him. She then left with Clark and Krypto to find Conner. Lois and Clark looked for Conner and ran into Shayera. Lois said that this was about Conner, and if Conner had just behaved, none of this would have happened. She later meets a magician named John Stewart who is very terrible, and she then stops him from doing a trick involving Clark and a toy rabbit. She then leaves with Clark after wishing him good luck. Lois and Clark later arrived at a town called Idealia where the children acted perfect, and Lois smiled at how she believed children should behave. She was then taken to Professor Hamilton by a couple when they said they were looking for Conner. She then saw that Hamilton made perfect children. Lois was confused by this as she wasn't sure how a perfect baby could exist. She then learned that the children automatically came out of a machine as five-year-olds and older. This creeped Lois out when they natturally acted good, and Lois thought about how she'd prefer a baby. Someone to grow and learn how to behave. She then realized that Conner was just acting like any other boy since he was only a few days old, plus the fact that he could walk and talk already. She and Clark then turned down two boys and three girls before running out of the town, much wiser than when they entered it. Lois then ran into Shayera again with Clark, and they both sighed agitatedly. Lois then kept going as she wanted to find Conner, but Shayera explained that Luthor had lied, and she and Clark raced towards Pleasure Island. Clark, Lois, and Krypto then snuck there and saw Conner as he pushed Raven down. Lois then hugged Raven. While looking for Conner again, they heard a boy cry out for help, so they secretly entered a secret room. They then looked around and saw several donkies there. Inside, they learned that the rollar coaster turned the boys into donkies, so they rushed out to find Conner. Clark and Lois then rushed to the coaster and pleaded for Conner not to get on it, and pushed a pursuing Luthor down in the process. Conner refused and went on. Clark and Lois then rushed after him on the next car with Krypto and Raven. Clark and Lois arrived, and they saw that Conner had turned into a still talking donkey, and he was immediately loaded into a boat. Lois then rowed after him, when she, Clark, Raven, and Krypto ended up swallowed by a giant whale. Lois then asked for help from Shayera when Conner appeared, returned to normal by his brave deed. Lois then asked how Conner turned back to normal. Lois then apologized for what happened, blaming herself and Clark for what happened. Conner then forgave them, and they all hugged. When Conner got a plan to ask him questions to get his nose to grow, she asked Conner who the prettiest girl in Smallville was, which didn't work at first since Conner said Raven. They eventually made it out and returned to the main land. On the way home, Clark and Lois related their adventures to Conner. Lois was then shocked that Conner thought being swallowed by a whale was fun, but was relieved when he said he wouldn't want to go through it again and agreed with him. Lois then called Conner the best son a mother could ever want. When they entered the shop, Lois sees Luthor there and learns that when Conner left with Luthor, he had signed a contract. Lois then refuses to hand Conner over. Lois then offers Luthor their bank account. When Luthor refused and ran off with Conner, Lois called out to Shayera for help and learned that because she and Clark seldom listened to her, there was little she could do. Lois then asks Shayera to turn her into wood or stone or clay since she had allowed Luthor to take their hearts away. Lois then marvels at Shayera turning Conner into a real boy as she states that Clark and Lois have proven themselves to be real parents. The reunited family then goes back inside to rest.

Hawkgirl Justice League Unlimited2

Shayera talks with Clark and Lois.

Shayera - An angel in charge of making wishes. When Lois and Clark wish for their wooden boy Conner to be real, Shayera brings Conner to life and promises that if Conner's good and brave one day, he'll be a real boy and appoints Raven as his conscience. When she meets Lois and Clark before leaving, she explains that there's no good in being a real parent without a real son to come home to. A few days later, Clark arrived and voiced the opinion that his wish was defective. Shayera laughed and said that Clark and Lois needed to be patient and that happy endings had to be earned. She then left, claiming that if Clark or Lois ever needed her, they just had to let their hearts call to her. Shayera then met up with them the next day as they looked for Conner and suggested that they were responsible for what happened. When they refused and said that if Conner had been interested in being a toy-maker or at least behave, Shayera decided to teach them each a lesson and had her husband John show Clark why boys shouldn't have to do what their parents do while she had them enter a made up town with perfect children to show Lois that having a naturally well-behaved child was unnatural. Shayera then explained that Conner was headed towards Pleasure Island and that Luthor had lied to them, so they went off that way. Shayera then said to herself how she wasn't holding out much hope for them. Shayera then appeared to them when they called for help when Luthor took Conner, but Shayera explained that there was little she could do as they seldom heeded her advice, but once she sees that they'd rather be turned into wood, stone, or clay, Shayera turns Conner into a real boy as Clark and Lois proved that they were real parents for Conner to come home to. She then blasted Luthor several times with lightning until he ran off.

Lex Luthor (Brainiac Attacks)

Lex thinking about the living wooden boy, Conner.

Lex Luthor - A puppeteer who isn't very good. He also treats, and talks to, his puppets like they were real people. One day, outside of the elementary school of Smallville, Lex met the Kents, who he tried to get come to his show, but they were busy. When they returned home with their newly suspended son, Conner, Lex was about to offer a chance to see his show again when he saw that Conner was made of wood. He then offered Conner a part in his show before Clark and Lois refused for him, so Lex figured he'd just have to go around the parents. When Clark and Lois weren't home, Lex went to Conner and convinced him to come with him and be a part of his show. After his first show that night, Luthor made 1,000 gold pieces. He also held Conner in a cage, so that he couldn't get out and end up getting taken. When Clark and Lois arrived to look for Conner, Lex hid him and made up a story about Conner going to the city of Metropolis to make his fortune. After Lois and Clark left, Lex discovered that Conner was gone and saw that he got onto a carriage to Pleasure Island. Lex then left to get Conner back as he didn't want to go back to being a second-class act. Luthor eventually made it to Pleasure Island and tried to grab Conner, but he was stopped by the head of Pleasure Island, Jason Todd, the first time and lost Alexander, so he had to get him back. The next time, he tried to grab him at the rollar coaster, but he was shoved away by Clark and Lois and carried off by Jason's guards. Luthor then went back to the shop and showed his contract to Clark and Lois. He then refused to take what Clark and Lois offered, including a chair, a bank account, and the whole house, and forcibly took Conner. When Shayera arrived and made Conner a real boy, Lex was angry at Shayera, who then proceeded to attack him with lightning before he ran off.
